Controlled-ambient warehouse space with enhanced fire protection for lithium-ion batteries and EV components.
The requirement
Lithium-ion batteries want a narrow band — roughly 50–77°F — to preserve cycle life and, more importantly, to stay well clear of thermal-runaway risk. Storage above that range accelerates degradation; the fire codes (and insurers) governing bulk lithium storage add sprinkler density, rack configuration, and quantity-limit requirements most warehouses can't meet.
This is an emerging, under-served category. We identify controlled-ambient buildings with the fire-protection engineering, sprinkler design, and landlord willingness to host battery inventory — plus FTZ options for imported cells and packs.
